Life After Twilight is hosting a Book Mark Design Contest!
We are a website all about books, authors, writers, and readers.
Naturally we should have Bookmarks right?
Of course we should.
In honor of the 2 year celebration one talented designer will have a shot at coming up with a design for the first 50 Book Marks we plan to give away (plus the designer who wins will receive an extra special prize)!
Okay… I am a Photoshop junky and I KNOW there are some talented and amazing people out there.
So get creative and show us what you got!
The Details:
- Please use the 2″ x 6″ Bookmark template located HERE to create your design. If you do not have Photoshop and have another program that you use please check out this page HERE for Step-by-Step guidelines.
- The Bookmark designs may be Vertical or Horizontal orientation.
- These Bookmarks will be BACK and FRONT. Be sure to have 2 designs: 1 for the Front and 1 for the Back.
- Please make sure that your design includes the following:

- Please note: These Bookmarks will have a Gloss finish with rounded corners. They will be on 15pt Card Stock paper with Full Color. (Don’t think this will effect the design, but might be nice to know).
- Get creative and have fun… the sky is the limit!
Judges and Voting:
- The Judges will be none other than the staff of LAT.net (aka: “B”, Livia, and Jenni).
- We will also have an open vote where the readers/viewers/fellow book worms of LAT have a chance to see ALL the designs and vote on which design is their favorite!
Dates and Deadlines:
- All Design Entries MUST be submitted via email to LifeAfterTwilight@gmail.com with the subject line “BookMark Design Entry”.
- Design Entries MUST be submitted before August 18th 2010 by 11:59pm (CENTRAL).
- Open voting will begin on August 19th 2010.
- The winner of the Bookmark Design Contest will be announced on August 25th 2010.
- PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to make adjustments to dates and/or rules should that become necessary.

Does it have to be a LAT bookmark with your colors and style?
Chloe – No you don’t have to keep the style… the only requirements that we would like on the book mark is the website and Twitter info as stated. Other than that get creative and have fun! Who knows… maybe YOUR design might inspire our next layout design
I was wondering, do you have any specs on what kind of image file? I don’t use photoshop so I’ll have to copy the image in the file to my own program.
Also, do you want the lines in the template still on the picture?
Do front and back need to be specified in the email when we submit them?

I know when I order them they can be in several different file forms… but when you submit your entry I would prefer it to be in JPG that way I can VIEW all of them
No the template lines should NOT be visible. I know in photoshop you can hide them. However in other programs I suggest keeping them on there and when you know 100% that it is ready to be submitted delete the template layer or remove the lines.
YES, please specify which one is the front and which is the back
